5. Conclusion
Within the limitations of the study due to the low percentage of responses, we can conclude that, among the studied population, the newly graduated clinicians had a 2.1 times 10 International Journal of Dentistry higher knowledge level in comparison to dentists who had more than 30 years of practice experience. However, when several factors regarding the knowledge of the risk factors and diagnostic procedures were individually assessed, the results indicated high rates of incorrect answers, demonstrating that there is room for further studies in the area and for oral cancer information activities. 'erefore, oral cancer aspects must be emphasized so that more people, clinicians, and patients become interested in the topic. 'is goal may be achieved through clariDcation campaigns, dental school’s program improvement, and the encouragement of professionals in attending continuing education courses for better qualiDcation. New studies must be performed to compare our results.
