5. Conclusions and future works
This paper addresses the design of a strategy for the resilience management problem of the future ATM system. It defines a family of analytical resilience metrics for the reference system and formally defines the ATM resilience management problem as an optimal tasks reallocation problem. In the paper, the methodology has been discussed and its effectiveness has been tested by its application to a structured reference case study. Future work will involve the development of a software simulation environment to validate the proposed methodology with reference to a meaningful highly automated ATM scenario. Besides, the reaction time of the system for the resilience DAG building and exploration will be thoroughly analyzed.
