4. Conclusion
The straw man model has been evaluated and reviewed in order to identify its strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvements. The straw man has been put through a number of evaluations: effectiveness and efficiency evaluation, design evaluation and relevance, and rigor evaluation. These evaluations were run against the DS evaluation method together with the straw man attributes and properties. The evaluation results clearly showed the weaknesses of the straw man model and the required improvements to be made as summarized in Table 11. Figure 2 shows the improved straw man model with its new name, the multidisciplinary digital forensics investigation process model. As shown in the literature, the digital forensic investigation has a complex nature, so it requires multidisciplinary skills and abilities. The professional significance of the multidisciplinary digital forensic investigation process model is that of greater effi- ciency and effectiveness in digital investigations.
